A Night to Remember: The American Game Event Brings Lacrosse Community Together

A Night to Remember: The American Game Event Brings Lacrosse Community Together

On a lively evening at the historic Mt. Washington Tavern, VienerX helped bring the lacrosse community together for a special event with award-winning journalist and author S.L. Price. The occasion celebrated his acclaimed book, The American Game, which dives deep into the legacy and culture of lacrosse in America.

.

Hosted by Wayne Viener along with Keith Cavanaugh, the event featured a live reading by the author and an interactive conversation between Price and Viener. Guests praised the vibrant discussion, the incredible memorabilia on display, and the energy of the fully engaged crowd. The night drew current and former players, coaches, and fans alike—all eager to share in the story of lacrosse.

.

Following the discussion, Scott Price met individually with attendees, signing books and engaging in thoughtful conversations with readers. This personal touch made the night even more memorable.  You can find the book on Amazon.

.

“I think the book is very important to lacrosse and to our overall understanding of why the sport exists,” said VienerX CEO Wayne Viener.  He continues, “Scott’s books are very well researched and thought out.  You will will learn new things about the sports you love reading Scott’s work.”

Special thanks to our event sponsors: Robbies First Base, Fordham Lee Distillery, Roseda Beef, and of course, VienerX Consulting.  As the title sponsor, VienerX continues their support of community events.  COO Mason Viener noted, we enjoy sponsoring “events that connect people through sports, culture, and community.”

.

Wayne (L) and Scott (R) discuss the book on June 19, 2025.
